School and Classroom Expectations:
Arrival: School hours are 8:45 A.M. - 3:45 P.M. Students will not be allowed to enter the building prior to 8:15 A.M. Your child should be inside the classroom no later than 8:45 A.M. and ready to begin his/her day. Students are tardy after 8:45 A.M.

Transportation: Please make sure you place a note in your child’s folder each day that there is going to be a transportation change. If you have a change in transportation during the day you must call the school, emails sent throughout the day will be answered once students have gone home. I must receive notice that your child will be going home another way. Your child will not be allowed to go home a different way unless this written notice is received. If I do not receive a note or the office does not receive notification, your child will be sent home as normal. Thank you for making this a smooth and safe manner.

Lunch: Our lunch time is at 11:30 A.M. Our children love to have company for lunch so feel free to join us whenever you can (after the October date).! Due to growing safety and allergy concerns, we allow parents to have lunch with only their child at our parent lunch table. Be sure to sign in at the office, get a name tag, and meet us in the cafeteria. If your child plans on purchasing lunch, always put lunch money in an envelope marked with your child’s name and lunch number. Money can be deposited at school each morning before 8:40 A.M., or you can do this at home online at: https://paypams.com/HomePage.aspx

Snack/Water Bottles: Please send in one healthy snack with your child daily. He/she may also bring in a water bottle to have with snack.

Absences/Early Dismissal: If your child is absent for any reason, a written note explaining the absence is required. If there is no note, then the absence is marked unexcused. Please note, that school policy does not consider family trips to be an excused absence. If you know you will be picking your child up from school, please email me 24 hours in advance or send in a note with your child that morning. There will be no early dismissals after 3:00 P.M. If you need for your child to leave school before 3:45 P.M., please sign your child out prior to 3:00 P.M.

Dress Code: Please revisit the school dress code with your child. We will be discussing it in class with students as well. Shorts should be as long as the longest finger when arms are held by their sides. Tops should be at least 3 fingers wide. Shirts that may fall off the shoulders should have a tank top on underneath that is at least 3 fingers wide. Also, no flip flops. If students are violating the dress code, they will have to go to the front office to call home for a change of clothes and stay in the office until the new clothes arrive.
